Warehouse / Logistics Associate

Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics / Warehouse Associate to join their dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, making deliveries to work sites and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse/construction knowledge and experience with previous warehouse setting experience.

Responsibilities

Sort and organize materials and products in the warehouse according to established procedures.
Arrange materials in designated storage locations
Manage and monitor hardware supplies ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Advise team members when stock needs to be ordered.
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
Utilizing appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move materials within the warehouse.
Ensure materials are handled safely to prevent damage and in accordance with company safety policy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard.
Assist with any internal requests for materials.
May be required to use the company vehicle for delivering mechanical materials to job sites around the GTA.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse distribution or a similar role.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Strong work ethic and trustworthy
Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
Must live close to the shop and be able to work early mornings.
