Sr. Project Manager

About the Company:

An established and successful construction management contractor, who have been in business for over 20 years, specializes in design-build services for interior office renovations and other large commercial buildings. They have completed numerous of projects all over the GTA ranging up to $11M+.

They are rapidly growing as they have secured, large, long term projects all over the GTA. They are seeking for an industry experienced Project Manager who can make a difference in the company and join their dynamic team of talented professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects are completed on time, and on budget through proactive management of the service providers, designers and trades
• Act as the primary central point of communication on a project and are responsible for define and gaining commitment for expectations
• Ensure that all project team members adhere to expectations while maintaining a positive relationship and overall project team
• Read and understand drawings, including discrepancies between tender and issue for construction and permit, potential issues, opportunities and risks.
• Read and understand contract details
• Attend and/or lead internal and site meetings as required
• Review trade scope of work and collaborate with estimating as required
• Complete financial project management duties as required (project job costing, project invoices, etc)
• Review close out process with sub-trades
• Ensure projects meet corporate goals for safety, quality, budget, schedule as well as profitability
• Communicate regularly with Site Supervisor to review project plans and specifications
• Develop and maintain excellent relations with staff, team, management, clients, consultants, sub-trades, etc.
• Other project management duties as required

Requirements:

• Min 5+ years of recent and relevant Canadian experience in ICI commercial construction Project Management sector
• Strong work ethic with much attention to detail
• Strong command of the English language
• Excellent computer and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and fast paced environment
