Estimator Coordinator

Overview
Our client is an established and successful mechanical contractor, located in Etobicoke, ON. They specialize in commercial service and installations of sheet metal, HVAC and plumbing systems. They have secured various large and long term projects and looking to expand their dynamic team!

They are seeking an eager and motivated Estimator Coordinator that will report to the Sr. Estimator. The ideal candidate will also support the construction estimating process by coordinating and facilitating various tasks to ensure accurate project cost estimates.

Responsibilities
– Coordinate and oversee the estimation process for construction projects
– Analyze project specifications to determine the appropriate scope of work
– Price and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
– Collaborate with the construction team to build accurate estimates
– Maintain documentation related to estimates and bids
– Utilize Bluebeam software for document management

Requirements
– Prior experience in construction estimating; mechanical knowledge is preferred
– Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; familiarity in Bluebeam software is a plus
– Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors
– Excellent communication and organizational abilities
– Strong command of the English language both written and verbal

Compensation
– $50,000 to $65,000 (based on experience)
