The successful candidate will play a key role in helping them secure new projects by preparing cost estimates for roofing jobs. You will work closely with the team to gather necessary information and produce accurate estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for flat roofing projects, including labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Review project specifications, drawings, and site conditions to ensure all relevant factors are considered in the estimate
• Conduct site visits to assess job conditions, take measurements, and gather information
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material pricing and availability
• Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators to adjust estimates based on project requirements and clients needs
• Assist in preparing and submitting proposals, bids, and pricing documents
• Maintain organized records of all estimation, proposals, and related documentation
• Help update ad improve cost estimation templates and processes
• Monitor and track changes in the project scope that could impact budget

Qualifications: 

• Experience or education in construction, estimating or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel and any other estimation software
• Knowledge in roofing and construction materials, methods and terminology
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites when needed
