Mechanical Project Manager (Sheet Metal)

About the Company:

Our client is an established and reputable mechanical contractor which provides sheet metal, plumbing and HVAC services to the commercial and industrial sectors. They have been operating for over 40 years and are seeking for an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic and growing team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who used to be on the field and has transitioned into the office within their career.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand and interpret drawings including discrepancies between tender and issue for construction and permit, potential issues, opportunities and risks
• Attending site meetings regularly
• Read and understand contract details and update all standard documents
• Review scope of work and collaborate with estimating, coordination and site supervisor as required
• Manager sub-contractor costs to meet or exceed target profitability
• Build a strong project team and provide effective direction to site supervisors, project coordinators and trades to efficiently execute the projects
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all members of the organization as well as with clients, consultants, sub-trades, suppliers, etc.
• Other duties as required

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• Min 3+ years of recent and relevant experience as a Project Manager in the mechanical sector
• Valid 308a License (asset)
• Excellent computer and commination skills
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Excellent command of English language both written and verbal
• Ability to work as a team and independently

Compensation:

• $90,000+ (commensurate with experience)
