Job Overview

Our client is seeking a CWB licensed Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and drawings, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring structural integrity and quality standards are met.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
Conduct assembly of components according to specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials as needed during the fabrication process.
Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in rigging, machining, ductwork, and construction.
Familiarity with using calipers, power tools, hand tools, and press brake machines.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively for accurate project execution.
Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control and safety practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

CWB License in Welding
TIG welding is an asset
Structural steel welding is an asset

Compensation

  • $25.00 to $36.00/hr (commensurate with experience)
