About the Company:
Our client is an established residential developer who have been operating successfully for over 30 years. Their developments include sophisticated and luxurious detached townhomes, high-rise towers, family homes, detached and semi-detached homes all over the GTA.
Having secured numerous projects, they are growing and need more talent to join their dynamic team! They are looking to hire an experienced Construction Estimator to grow and manage their estimation department.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications
Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes
Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info
Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans
Develops bids for construction projects
Works closely with architects and other professionals
Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff
Navigates and understands building codes
Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required
Monitors construction processes
Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction
Requirements:
Experience in construction estimation (High-rise residential, ICI and low rise)
Ability to navigate specifications and plans
Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
Close attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in speaking, reading, writing English
Ability to build strong relationships and work as a team
