Overview

We are seeking a Licensed and skilled Fitter/Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components with precision and adherence to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and welding expertise, contributing to the successful completion of complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet safety standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as plasma cutters and press brake machines to shape and assemble components.
• Measure dimensions accurately with calipers and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations for fabrication accuracy.
• Assist in the assembly of ductwork for generators, structural frameworks, or mechanical systems according to specifications.
• Operate machining equipment when necessary for component fabrication or modification.
• Follow safety protocols related to welding, rigging, and construction activities to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure equipment is properly maintained for optimal performance.

Skills

• Experience with rolled plate
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques with demonstrated experience in manufacturing or construction settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of ductwork fabrication and general construction practices is a plus.
• Competence in reading schematics and utilizing calipers for precise measurements.
  Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding safety procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
